Do you love London and can’t you imagine getting married anywhere else than your favourite capital? Or do you see yourselfeloping at the beautiful and rocky coast of Cornwall or one of Cornwalls many subtropical gardens? Or maybe you have lost your heart, like I have, to one of the English cities like Oxford, the Georgian sandstone town of Bath, Cambridge, Brighton, medieval Canterbury, Manchester or seaside town Folkestone? Of course you could always combine your destination wedding in England with a romantic getaway in the world famous Lake District or the picturesque Cotswolds.
Wedding Photographer in England
I am Renate van Dijk and I am a destination wedding photographer and the founder of Wit Photography. I specialise in weddings abroad in Europe and I am based in The Hague, London and Belgrade. I photograph weddings everywhere in Europe and I love destination weddings. Have a look at my wedding photography portfolio and find out where I have been travelling to because of this passion. I would love to photograph your wedding in England or Scotland because I am addicted to traveling but I love it even more when I photograph awesome couples at all kinds of gorgeous places around the world. But most of all because I’m an Anglophile, I love everything British and shooting weddings in the UK is one of my favourite things to do. I mean the Scottish highlands, the beautiful London skyline or picturesque cobblestone villages are all swell and stuff but it’s not half as good as placing a loving and fun loving couple within that frame.
The UK usually isn’t an obvious choice when looking to get married abroad. Nevertheless I totally get engaged couples who would like to get married in England, Scotland or Wales. England is my favourite country in the world! I would move there full-time in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for my boyfriend who prefers to stay in the Netherlands. I’m available for weddings throughout the United Kingdom to shoot your intimate, romantic and laid-back wedding or elopement. I studied in Bath and Canterbury and because my dad lived in England when I was a teenager I’m also very familiar with the area around Folkestone, Dover, Hythe and Sandgate. And I can give you lots of tips on having a stress free elopement or destination wedding in London.
Previously I photographed several weddings in Somerset (where I also studied), London, the subtropical Cornish coast, Aberdeenshire. And this year too I will shoot weddings in the United Kingdom, for which I will travel to London, Hythe, Bath and the Lake District. I can’t wait to shoot even more weddings, elopements and love shoots in other locations in the UK! So don’t hesitate to contact me if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales. I can’t wait to hear all about your wedding plans.
Whether you’re planning a luxury wedding in Mayfair, a quirky and alternative wedding at Asylum London in Southwark, are organising a theatre wedding in the West End or are thinking of an elegant barn wedding on the English countryside, I will be there from the getting ready till the first dance. I wouldn’t want to miss a second and in case you’re looking for a wedding location in the UK, a fabulous stylist, a wedding planner or a florist feel free to contact me as well, I’ll gladly help you out!
I will help you find the best British vendors. And I’m pretty sure we will find the perfect match for you and your partner so that everything on your wedding day will be just as you imagined it would be.
With all the stress that comes with organising a wedding, the last thing you need is to worry about cramping your day into 8 hours of wedding photography. Your wedding is the only wedding I’ll shoot that weekend. As a matter of fact I’ll be with you the entire day. I don't care if your wedding is 6 hours or 16 hours, actually I prefer capturing the whole story of your day. For me the real work starts after the wedding day, when I start editing you images.
Unlike other photographers, you can print your photos wherever you want. You receive all your photos fully edited and in high-resolution, so you can do with them whatever you want. You can even print your own wall-art and albums (of course I can also arrange those for you if you prefer) and you can keep all your digital files safe wherever you want, without any extra costs.
I traveled all over the world, photographed in all types of weather circumstances and shot weddings as big as 250 guests and as intimate as an elopement with just the couple. With my experience you don’t have to worry about a thing. Shooting in the snow in Austria/with lots of bright light in Italy/in a dark castle in Scotland/while being sandblasted in Iceland? I’ve done it! Plus I speak English (and Dutch) at near-native level and I am familiar with all the English, Dutch and American wedding customs and traditions.
Now you know a bit about me, I would love to hear more about you! I would love to hear all of your plans and ideas for your wedding. Please fill in this email form or email me your story in your own words at info@wit–photography.com. So I can check if I am still available on your wedding date and so I can see if me and my photography are a fit for your wedding. When you fill in the form and tell me about your plans I will email or call you back asap (at least within 48 hours) to let you know my availability for your wedding in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

I’m the kind of wedding photographer who believes that the most important thing on a wedding day is that you enjoy yourselves and have the most epic day possible. I wouldn’t dream of bothering you with posing while you’re cutting the cake and stuffing a piece of cake into each others mouths. I’m a non-traditional, documentary type of fine art destination wedding photographer that loves anything alternative and quirky. Read more...
