Larmer Tree Gardens, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, Great-Britain
But this is just the beginning of what turned out to be one of the most beautiful weddings I got to photograph. A couple of minutes after we left King John’s Inn we arrived at Larmer Tree Gardens. Live guitar music welcomed the guests while they entered the eclectic gardens. Larmer Tree Gardens is a Victorian English garden with several different buildings in different periodic styles. Hannah and Simon chose to have their ceremony at the little Roman temple.
Shortly before dinner we had some time for a short photo shoot and of course the Victorian open air singing theatre couldn’t be skipped. I’m a big fan of eucalyptus so I was thrilled to see the table runners consisted of eucalyptus branches and white roses. Everything was beautifully decorated but with such elegance and they never overdid it, which is perfect in my opinion! During dinner the band was setting up their equipment and were doing a sound check. I myself studied music very close to Salisbury, namely in Bath. So it was awesome to shoot a wedding at which the band (or some members of it) studied in the same place I did :) Before the party really took off, the bride and groom cut the cake and danced their first dance under a ceiling filled with lights in a gorgeous colonial style building.
