Have you always been dreaming of having a Italy destination wedding or elopement in Italy? Can you already see yourself having a romantic and intimate wedding in the beautiful Italian landscape, maybe in the rolling hills of Tuscany or the lesser known Umbria or Le Marche region? Or maybe you'd rather get married at a populair Italian wedding location like the Amalfi coast, a whitewashed Masseria in Puglia, at one of the villa's at Lake Como, on a beach in Sardinia, a boat on Lake Garda, Sicily or a luxurious hotel in Venice? Of course you can combine your destination wedding with a super romantic honeymoon in Italy or a post wedding couple shoot in one of these regions.
Wedding Photographer in Italy
I am Renate van Dijk and I am a destination wedding photographer and the founder of Wit Photography. I specialise in weddings abroad in Europe and I am based in The Hague and London. I photograph weddings around the world but particularly everywhere in Europe and I love destination weddings. Have a look at my wedding photography portfolio and find out where I have been travelling to because of this passion. Or if you'd like to see my particular Italy portfolio, scroll down this page to have a look at my latest Italian destination wedding photography. I would love to photograph your wedding in Italy because I am addicted to travelling and I love it even more when I photograph awesome couples at all kinds of epic places around the world. I mean the rolling hills of Tuscany, the gorgeous Italian lakes (like Lake Como and Lake Garda) or Puglian picturesque white villages are all swell and stuff but it’s not half as good as placing a loving and fun loving couple within that frame. You can read here why I think Italy is the perfect place for a destination wedding.
Although people often assume otherwise my photography style isn't about posing and directing at all. In my opinion a professional wedding photographer should be able to let your big day unfold naturally and shoot those moments in a photojournalistic (aka reportage style) kind of manner. Personally I think it's important to get fine art photography for the portraits of you and your partner too. So I always recommend couples to build in some time to get the best photos in the best light in the beautiful landscape you choose as the setting for your special day. I don't give you poses during this time either but I do give you little assignments so your attention is focussed on each other and not on us and our camera's.
