Of course you can combine your destination wedding with a super romantic honeymoon in France or a post wedding couple shoot in one of these places.

Wedding Photographer in France

I’m Renate van Dijk and I am a destination wedding photographer and founder of Wit Photography. I specialise in weddings abroad in Europe and I live a 2,5 hour train ride from Paris. I photograph weddings everywhere  within Europe and I love destination weddings. Have a look at my wedding photography portfolio and see where I’ve travelled to because of this passion. I would love to photograph your wedding in France because I am addicted to travelling I love it even more when I photograph awesome couples at all kinds of places in the world even more. I mean the mountains of the Pyrenees, a gorgeous coastal town like Nice or the sandstone Art Nouveau villas and hotels in Paris are all well and stuff but it’s not half as good as placing a loving and fun loving couple within that frame.

I travel to Paris regularly to photograph couple shoots in “the city of love” and I feel honoured to capture peoples love for each other every time. In 2017 in shot my first wedding France (I have been shooting weddings since 2013) and have been shooting weddings and elopements in this beautiful country ever since. This year I’ll be shooting weddings in the south of France, near Carcassonne and Toulouse, in the north in the beautiful Lorraine region at Chateau de Hattonchatel and in Paris in the famous Ritz hotel.

Did you know that recently it has become possible to get married in Disneyland Paris? I’m still a major Disneyland geek (I’ve even been to Disney World, yes that big a geek ;) )  and shooting a wedding in Disneyland Paris would be A-MA-ZING! Paris itself is of course a beautiful city to get married in anyway, with its beautiful pastel colours it is a perfect fit with my photography style. I’m more of an Anglophile then a Francophile myself, but the beautiful Art Nouveau that you can find everywhere in Paris is something that will always lure me back to this city of love.

Getting married in France

Besides Paris, France has lots of amazing places to get married. Previously I photographed a bride and groom in the north of France at a château manoir at Auxi-Le-Château, a wedding at the fairytale like 14th century castle Château de Lisse in between Bordeaux and Toulouse and at Lac de Bethmale in the French Pyrenees I also got to shoot some amazing footage as a wedding photographer. Then of course there are the lavender fields in Provence, the epic Mont St. Michel (I previously shot a wedding at the British equivalent Saint Michael’s Mount in Cornwall) and the gorgeous French Riviera where I’ve often vacationed.

In case you’re looking for a wedding location in France, a fabulous stylist, a wedding planner or a florist feel free to contact me as well, I’ll gladly help you out!

I will help you with finding the best French wedding vendors. And I’m pretty sure we will find the perfect match for you and your partner so that everything on your wedding day will be as you imagined it would be.

how I work

With all the stress that comes with organising a wedding, the last thing you need is to worry about cramping your day into 8 hours of wedding photography. Your wedding is the only wedding I’ll shoot that weekend. As a matter of fact I’ll be with you the entire day. I don't care if your wedding is 6 hours or 16 hours, actually I prefer capturing the whole story of your day. For me the real work starts after the wedding day, when I start editing you images.

Unlike other photographers, you can print your photos wherever you want. You receive all your photos fully edited and in high-resolution, so you can do with them whatever you want. You can even print your own wall-art and albums (of course I can also arrange those for you if you prefer) and you can keep all your digital files safe wherever you want, without any extra costs.

I traveled all over the world, photographed in all types of weather circumstances and shot weddings as big as 250 guests and as intimate as an elopement with just the couple. With my experience you don’t have to worry about a thing. Shooting in the snow in Austria/with lots of bright light in Italy/in a dark castle in Scotland/while being sandblasted in Iceland? I’ve done it! Plus I speak English (and Dutch) at near-native level and I am familiar with all the English, Dutch and American wedding customs and traditions.

Now you know a bit about me, I would love to hear more about you! I would love to hear all of your plans and ideas for your wedding. Please fill in this email form or email me your story in your own words at info@wit– So I can check if I am still available on your wedding date and so I can see if me and my photography are a fit for your wedding. When you fill in the form and tell me about your plans I will email or call you back asap (at least within 48 hours) to let you know my availability for your wedding in France.

'Renate was so easy to work with'
Marina & Stephen about their destination wedding in Serbia

'Having our wedding in a different country meant that we had a briefing with Renate over email which was as successful as in person as we were asked the right questions that put us at ease... On the day of our wedding celebration Renate was so easy to work with... She was responsive to all our requests as well as being non-intrusive and told the story of our day with main points beautifully captured... We are happy customers with photos to show it.'
