FRANCE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Are you dreaming of an elopement or wedding in Paris, at the French Riviera in the south of France, or maybe amongst the lavender fields in Provence, a winter wedding on the Mont Blanc, an intimate wedding in the French Pyrenees or somewhere else in France? Of course you can combine your destination wedding with a super romantic honeymoon in France or a post wedding couple shoot in one of these places.

English speaking wedding photographer in France

I’m Renate van Dijk and I am a destination wedding photographer and the founder of Wit Photography. Although I was born in The Netherlands, I studied in England and often get asked where I'm from (as people hear an accent but do think English is my native language). Specialising in weddings abroad in Europe, I photograph weddings everywhere within Europe, but the biggest number of them take place in France (I live a 2,5 hour train ride from Paris). Have a look at my wedding photography portfolio and see where I've travelled to because of this passion. I would love to photograph your wedding in France because I am addicted to travelling but I love it even more when I photograph awesome couples at all kinds of beautiful places even more. I mean the mountains of the Pyrenees, a gorgeous coastal town like Nice or the sandstone Art Nouveau villas and hotels in Paris are all swell and stuff but it’s not half as good as placing a loving and fun loving couple within that frame.

I travel to Paris regularly to photograph intimate weddings as well as  couple shoots in "the city of love"  and I feel honoured to capture peoples love for each other every time. In 2017 in shot my first France wedding (I have been shooting weddings since 2013) and have been shooting weddings and elopements in this beautiful country ever since. In the last couple of years I have shot French weddings from the south of France, near Carcassonne and Toulouse, near Bordeaux in the West, on the French Riviera and the Provence in the South-East of France to luxury destination weddings in Northern France in the beautiful Lorraine region at Chateau Hattonchatel, weddings in and near Paris as well as a luxurious elopement in Paris at the famous Ritz hotel.

My photography style (and that of the other wedding photographers who second and associate shoot for Wit Photography) can be described as 90% photojournalistic (aka reportage style), in which I won't intervene or direct you and just let your special day unfold while we capture everything in the best way possible. But I always advise to built in a photo shoot for just you and your partner, so that we can guarantee you a couple of fine art portraits in which, you, the light and the surroundings look their best. This way you can be sure you'll have photos that show off that gorgeous location or venue you selected for your wedding day. And you'll have some photos that you'll actually want to hang on a wall.

Did you know that recently it has become possible to get married in Disneyland Paris? I’m still a major Disneyland geek (I’ve even been to Disney World, yes that big a geek ;) )  and shooting a wedding in Disneyland Paris would be A-MA-ZING (you can read more info on weddings in Disneyland Paris here)! Paris itself is of course a beautiful city to get married in anyway, with its beautiful pastel colours it is a perfect fit with my photography style. I’m more of an Anglophile then a Francophile myself, but the beautiful Art Nouveau that you can find everywhere in Paris is something that will always lure me back to this city of love.

Getting married in France

Besides Paris, France has lots of amazing places to get married. Previously I photographed a bride and groom in the north of France at a château manoir at Auxi-Le-Château, a wedding at the fairytale like 14th century castle Chateau de Lisse in between Bordeaux and Toulouse and at Lac de Bethmale in the French Pyrenees I also got to shoot some amazing footage as a wedding photographer. Then of course there are the lavender fields in Provence, the epic Mont St. Michel (I previously shot a wedding at the British equivalent Saint Michael's Mount in Cornwall, UK) and the gorgeous French Riviera where I’ve often vacationed as well as worked.

In case you’re looking for a wedding location in France, a fabulous stylist, a wedding planner or a florist feel free to contact me as well, I’ll gladly help you out! I will happily help you with finding the best French wedding vendors. And I’m pretty sure we'll find the perfect match for you and your partner so that everything on your wedding day will be as you imagined it would be.
