Allie and Eric came all the way from California and hired me to make some photos of them in Paris after I had photographed their friends Anna and Nathan a couple of years ago. As film makers themselves (and therefore knowing a lot about imagery) they wanted a photographer who would skip the super cheesy stuff and even wanted to skip the obvious Eiffel tower photo spots at Trocadero, so we decided to meet up at the Louvre.

Only 1 day before our shoot Eric had proposed to Allie, so this was bound to be the most romantic couple shoot I ever shot in Paris. And not even the rain was going to stop us! This was pretty much the rainiest engagement shoot in Paris I ever shot! As the forecast was predicting rain for the next couple of days too, there was no other option then to just embrace the weather we were given. But it actually gave us some unpredicted presents too. First of all, it was less crowded than the most popular spots in Paris usually are, but because it was dark a bit longer we also got to shoot a bit with the lights on the Place du Louvre still on, and reflecting in the wet pavements. So we started at sunrise at the world famous Musée du Louvre and the beautiful quays along the river Seine, then we visited the Eiffel Tower and the beautiful Pont Alexandre III.
