Matt & Max’s Story
Matt & Max threw the ultimate musical theatre wedding! Of course in the theatre capital of the world: London! And not just in any old theater but Wilton’s Music Hall, THE oldest surviving grand music hall (making it mid-19th century) situated in the old East End of London.
 .
Seriously guys, Matt and Max organised my dream wedding. When I entered the auditorium of Wilton’s Music Hall in London I got teary eyed just because of the beauty and sheer magicalness of the crumbling pastel coloured walls and fairy lights. But the magic only started with this awesome venue.
 .
For Matt and Max are real musical theatre buffs. Matt studied music in uni, as I did. And Max studied theatre studies in university, like I did. Like me, they played in several musicals themselves and looking at their program (yes they had a (theatre) program for the wedding ;) ) among their favourites are Jason Robert Brown (my second favourite composer), Stephen Sondheim (my absolute favourite composer), Rent and The Wild Party. And I was beyond thrilled when I read their order of service. Which not only included some theatre songs but also readings from His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, a song from the soundtrack of Baz Luhrman’s Romeo and Juliet and a reading of The Next 10 Minutes (one of my favourite songs) from the musical The Last Five Years. All of which was of course performed live. Add in lots of confetti, two amazing locations in one of my absolute favourite cities in my favourite country and a playlist filled with Postmodern Jukebox and the Puppini Sisters and you’ve got this photographer swept off her feet!
