Dutch magazine VIVA publishes a list every year in which they nominate 400 extraordinary Dutch women for the VIVA400-award. They stand out because of their stamina, for being innovative, successful and of course for being talented. And I am one of them! I'm in the category of the "Creatives", the same category in which Maaike Ouboter, Kim van Kooten and the girls of Life of Pie are nominated. VIVA wrote the following about me:
"Ze was één van de vier genomineerden voor ‘creatieve ondernemer van het jaar’: Renate van Dijk. Ze maakt met haar bedrijf Wit Photography leuke nieuwe dingen mogelijk rond bruiloften en bruiloftfotografie: houd bijvoorbeeld een ‘pop-up wedding’ of krijg een Nederlandse fotograaf mee naar je buitenlandse ceremonie. Renate wil zich losmaken van de machocultuur in de fotografiewereld, door zich minder op techniek te richten en meer op creativiteit."
It's in Dutch and states something like the following:
'She was 1 of the 4 nominated for the title 'creative entrepreneur of the year': Renate van Dijk. With her company Wit Photography she creates awesome new possibilities around weddings. For example the pop-up wedding or taking your wedding photographer with you to your destination wedding. Renate wants to distance herself from the macho culture in the photography world by emphasizing on creativity instead of technical aspects of photography'
