Rosanne & Robert's Story

“I just opened the preview photos you send and I have tears in my eyes here behind my desk at work. They are marvellous!”
-Rosanne via WhatsApp

Rosanne and Robert got married in March in the Tyrolean mountains at Gasthaus Steinberg, which is a open air chapel in Westendorf. It was a gorgeous day, the sun shone all day long and I loved being their Austria wedding photographer!

Bride and Groom Prep

Rosanne got ready at her parents holiday home with her parents and their dogs, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The bride then jumped into her brothers huge Ford to get to the ceremony. Robert got ready together with his parents as well. He travelled to the ceremony with his parents and siblings. When the guests arrived everyone was in awe of the beautiful landscape to begin with and finally the small chapel build against the mountain.

The Outdoor Ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair at a stunning chapel on the venue grounds. With the Austrian mountains as the backdrop and the elegant styling by Trouwen in Oostenrijk the ceremony setting was a truly fairytale-like. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was so personal and a real tear-jerker. Charlotte of Trouwen in Oostenrijk performed the ceremony in Dutch, like no other. I always love working with her, she's thoughtful, funny and knows how the bring a story.

After the Ceremony

The cake cutting, followed by some drinks took place on the terrace and in the restaurant of the venue. They chose Gasthaus Steinberg because it has so many options and because of the gorgeous chapel of course. It was a flower filled wedding, which I always love to shoot. I love shooting flower filled winter weddings even more because they are rare and so pretty. A naked cake (of course also with flowers ;) ) was cut, a toast to the bride and groom was made and the afternoon was filled with laughter and live music.

They had a traditional Austrian music duo playing in the afternoon, and a surprise live performance in the evening. The groom had brought over one of Rosanne's favourite Dutch singers to Austria. They decorated the venue with wintery decor and candles and flowers, because bride Rosanne works in the flower industry.

Wedding attire

Rosanne wore a beautiful modern lace wedding dress by Yolancris and Robert wore a brown Michael & Giso suit and they looked so incredible. Rosanne’s shoes were the exact same shade of her dress, but they made sure her feet were kept warm in the freezing snow and Robert’s shoes were a perfect match to Rosanne's shoes, but then of course in a shade matching his suit.

Rosanne and Robert’s wedding was so much fun and so laid back. Scroll down to watch a slideshow.
