Kimberly & Bret's Story
Why choose between Paris or Provence, if you can also have both? When you choose to elope, you really can do whatever you want on your wedding day. That's what Kimberly and Bret must have thought too when they were going over their options for their elopement in France. So these two lovely people from Tennessee decided to have their elopement take place in the lavender fields of France as well as the city splendour that Paris has to offer.
Elopement ceremony in a private lavender field
In Paris we took photos at the Palais Royal, Bir Hakeem Bridge and of course lots of photos with the Eiffel Tower. But when we arrived at the private lavender field next to the castle we were staying at in Provence, Kimmy got teary eyed just seeing the lavenderfield that reached as far as the horizon. Needless to say, that she got also quite emotional when she and Bret said their vows in that same lavender field.

While Bret brought a light grey suit from their home town in Tennessee, Kimmy wanted to be captured in multiple dresses during their elopement. Therefor she rented dresses at Top Bridal Paris as well as a lilac dress from Styled Gowns. For the last part of their elopement she wore the lilac tulle gown during a picnic surrounded by her much loved lavender. And I have to admit, although I've always loved purple I never cared for the smell of lavender. But in Provence I learned first hand that you can't judge the smell of lavender until you've smelled it freshly grown from the earth. Because that fresh lavender smell is nothing short of amazing!
