’Wow, such beautiful photos, every time I look at them I’m surprised that it’s really us in the pictures. We loved getting to know you and thank you so much for being a part of our day!!’
Joyce and Harm and their daughter decided to get married in winter in the beautiful Tyrolean mountains. It was a beautiful day and the sun shone all day long!
Joyce got ready at at Hotel Kirchenwirt with her mother, her daughter, her best friends, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. Harm got ready at the same hotel, so both had to be sure not to see each other before their first look. After seeing each other in front of the hotel, the four of us took a carriage/sleigh ride through the winter wonderland of Wilderkaiser. Taking us through Kirchberg, Brixen, Westendorf and other villages nearby.
The ceremony was a beautiful ceremonial gathering performed by the father of the bride. The setting was the ice chapel at the Iglo village on one of the mountains in Brixen! It was such a beautiful ceremony and so personal.
After the ceremony
After the ceremony they couple was welcomed outside by soap bubbles, cake and champagne. And a trumpet player who just happened to be on the piste and who started playing for the couple just because he noticed they just got married! After some drinks and a slice of winter themed wedding cake everyone took the skilift down the mountain.
For their typically Austrian dinner they sat everyone down at 1 long tables. With Schnitzels and Kaiserschmarrn for everyone (of course this vegetarian photographer skipped the Schnitzel ;) ).
The couple did their first dance together with their daughter (fitting the winter theme they did this on a song from Frozen) – it was the first time I’ve seen that at a wedding! With songs from Grease and Saturday Night Fever being among the songs the DJ played later that night, you know I couldn’t have chosen a better playlist myself. Have a look at their destination winter wedding!
