Eliza & Ross' Wedding Story
Eliza and Ross decided on a destination wedding on the French Riviera. As big fans of the Cote d'Azur sun, stunning views and it's scrumptious food and wine, the choice for a destination wedding at Chateau Saint Georges wasn't difficult to make. And so the beautiful couple together with wedding planner AMV Weddings started to plan their wedding at Chateau Saint Georges in Grasse.
Wedding Ceremony at Chateau Saint Georges
With the perfection that is Chateau Saint Georges in the background, the ceremony in the garden was lead by a friend of the couple. The stunning view of the Côte d'Azur makes for pretty photos, but surrounded by the floral designs created by La Blonde et le Barbu and the chairs from Joli Bazaar it was an especially gorgeous ceremony setting in orange and pink tones. The bride wore an off-shoulder white dress with puffy sleeves as designed by Katie Yeung of Hera Couture. While the groom looked grand in his attire by Bucco Couture.
The Reception at Chateau Saint Georges
After the ceremony the bride changed into a stunning gown designed by Dimitra Antonea of Made Bride. This dress maker from Greece is one of my favourite designers as their designs all have an ethereal quality that simply elevates any bridal look.
The reception started with a champagne toast and the cutting of the beautiful wedding cake created by Monika Kos Sweets (an extraordinary cake designer in London), which was followed by a delightful dinner in the ballroom of the chateau. This white and gold room has a stunning view over the Cote d'Azur. They were served an amazingly delicious three-course dinner by Traiteur Ruth Williams, who are based in the South of France (but all their employers appear to be native English speakers). Amongst many other things the dinner included white focaccia infused with thyme, seasonal fresh vegetables, dauphinois potato, roast fillet of East Linton beef in red wine sauce, dark chocolate mousse and raspberry parfait amongst a selection of other deserts.
Hereafter we took some time to take photos in some of the different gardens. Chateau Saint Georges has several different gardens and the view from the main garden is just mesmerising.
