Planning a wedding abroad can be difficult and the hardest part yet might be to find your venue. So as a Greece wedding photographer who shoots lots of intimate, luxury weddings in Greece, I thought I'd help you with a couple of my favourite wedding venues in Greece:
5 amazing wedding venues in Greece
1. Poseidonion Grand, Spetses
The Poseidonion Grand Hotel on the island of Spetses is definitely an amazing wedding venue in Greece. The old world charm combined with it's gorgeous location and stellar service makes it maybe my favorite hotel in the world.
2. Vedema Resort, Santorini
The Luxury Collection by Marriott include some of my favourite places to stay. And Santorini is possibly the most popular Greek destination to get married so naturally when listing 5 amazing wedding venues in Greece, I had to include the Vedema Resort.
3. Romanos Resort, Peloponnesos
The Romanos Resort at Costa Navarino is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world according to National Geographic, namely the Peloponnesus aka Peloponnesos. It also houses a cute little chapel on the grounds of the resort but if I were you I'd go for a ceremony on it's beautiful beach or another spot where you're surrounded by the gorgeous nature of the place.
4. Cavo Ventus Villa, Santorini
With it's Caldera views, Santorini is probably the most popular place in Greece for a destination wedding. So when choosing a wedding venue you want one where you can enjoy that view in luxury. Cavo Ventus Villa definitely ticks the box!
5. Skiathos Palace, Skiathos
With it's Art Deco charm and the amazing views from the terrace, the Skiathos Palace Hotel is the perfect place for your guests to stay in as well as a wonderful place to hold your reception at. The food is great and you get to dance your first dance underneath the stars (or even at sunset, if you're lucky)!
Bonus
I couldn't help myself and stick to just 5 venues so here are 2 alternative venues for you to check out too:
Westin Resort, Costa Navarino, Peloponnesos
Nissia or Nnoiá - Faros Hotel, Spetses
Venues for an elopement in Greece
Although all venues above can cater to an elopement, you might consider a more intimate place to stay at if you are planning on an elopement. So if you are planning an elopement in Greece with a maximum of 14 guests, the following venues might also be interesting to check out:
Grace Hotel, on the island Santorini
Boutique hotel Grace on Santorini is part of the Auberge Resorts Collection and the perfect venue for an intimate wedding or elopement. With it's caldera views, private chapel and front view of the Skaros Rock.
Villa Mantos, on the island Antiparos
This is a private villa in which you and your guests can stay, it doesn't get more intimate than this! And there's even a private chapel (white and blue coloured too) on it's grounds!
Villa Amalia, in the Peloponnesos
If you love orchards, the sea, lavender and farm animals you'll love this rustic villa in the prettiest place on earth (according to National Geographic at least).
If you're also on the look-out for an English speaking wedding photographer to photograph your intimate luxury wedding or elopement in Greece, you might want to check out my portfolio. Or if you'd like a free consult, you can schedule one here.
