PASTEL COLOURED BEACH WEDDING IN SCHEVENINGEN

As a wedding photographer specialised in destination weddings I’m usually away from home for at least 3 days whenever I shoot a wedding. So to me it was pretty special to shoot Madeleine and Niraj’ wedding just a 5 minute walk away from me! I live in The Hague and within walking distance of the beach in Scheveningen. In the morning I traveled to Madeleine and Niraj’ hometown of Leiden but after the wedding I literally walked home. It actually is pretty extraordinary that I haven’t shot a wedding in Scheveningen sooner, as Scheveningen is actually filled with gorgeous wedding venues like the historic Paviljoen de Witte, the grand Circustheater and of course the absolutely epic Kurhaus. The more laid back, alternative and bohemian bride and groom also has a pretty broad selection of of venues in Scheveningen, with places like the bohemian Beachclub Indigo, het relaxed Beachclub Naturel, the slightly industrial Whoosah and you can even get married at miniature parc Madurodam.

But Madeleine and Niraj chose to celebrate they wedding at 1 of the most beautiful beachclubs that Scheveningen has to offer: Barbarossa Beachclub. The high ceiling and the modern interior make Barbarossa Beachclub very special. And the delicious catering and beautifully created ceremony setting makes the very clear why Madeleine and Niraj chose this venue for their wedding.
