Pretty much the rainiest engagement shoot in Paris I ever shot! As the forecast was predicting rain for the next couple of days too, there was no other option then to just embrace the weather we were given. But it actually gave us some unpredicted presents too. First of all it was less crowded than the most popular spots in Paris usually are, but because it was a dark a bit longer we also got to shoot a bit with the lights on the Place du Louvre still on, and reflecting in the wet pavements. There’s more surprises yet to come but those will have wait until the entire session is edited. For now I’d like to show you a preview of Allie and Eric’s couple shoot. Or should I say engagement shoot really! Because they had gotten engaged in Paris just hours before our shoot started! Allie and Eric came all the way from California and hired me to make some photos of them in Paris after I had photographed their friends Anna and Nathan a couple of years ago. As film makers themselves (and therefore knowing a lot about imagery) they wanted a photographer who would skip the super cheesy stuff and even wanted to skip the obvious Eiffel tower photo spots at Trocadero, so we decided to meet up at the Louvre. Have a look at a couple of the engagement photos that I got to create for them:
